Background
Star Aviation was founded in 1999, as an aircraft engineering, certification, & technical services firm in Mobile, Alabama. Due to market demand, the following year, Star Aviation expanded its services to include manufacturing to better serve its customers. Star Aviation expanded its facilities in 2003, to include an office in Seattle, Washington. The Seattle office was opened to provide local services to customers in the Western U.S. Star Aviation has continually grown over the years, from five employees, to over 100 today and two locations, with over 75 engineers and designers specializing in aviation and marine engineering.
Star Aviation is an industry leader specializing in the post-delivery modifications of aircraft including: avionics upgrades, STC certification, structural& electrical design,
in-flight entertainment/system integration, wireless cabin distribution systems,
high-speed data system installation and live television, satellite interfaces, custom equipment racks, interior reconfigurations, broadband data systems, RVSM, cockpit standardization, 3D solid modeling, finite element analysis, and many other services.

Now, thousands of customers later, that is still our sole mission. We have customers in all fifty states and more than a dozen foreign countries.
Southern Light is a fiber-optic based telecommunications company focused on delivering affordable, high-bandwidth transport over our own fiber optic networks to customers along the Gulf Coast.
